Job Summary

We are looking for a Shipper/Receiver to join our Macon team. You will be responsible for the well-organized and smooth preparation, documentation, and handling of incoming and outgoing parts and materials. You will also help to receive and pick parts for the warehouse. This role involves a balanced combination of administrative duties and physical work in the shop.

Responsibilities

Responsible for packing and preparing all goods for LTL and small parcel shipments
Package and prepare customer products and crates as required for safe shipping, load and unload trucks
Receive and inspect shipments, confirm vendor supplied components for customers' orders, and report any inventory discrepancies, including shortages and damage
Keep record of shipping documents
Actively promote safe working practices, follow good warehouse practices, and participate in continuous improvement
Keep a safe and clean work environment by complying with policies, procedures and regulations
Ensure that tools, equipment work areas are maintained in a clean, complete and safe condition
Other duties as required

Qualifications and Experience

Valid forklift operating certificate an asset
Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment an asset
Must meet all Health and Safety standards and lift a minimum of 50 lbs

Self-motivated with the ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment and work well under pressure
Demonstrated ability to meet commitments and able to establish workload priorities
Interest in expanding skills base to include cross training in other applications
