Event Host / Hostess (Speed Dating & Singles Events)

Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and personable Event Host / Hostess to oversee and facilitate speed dating and singles events. This role involves creating a welcoming atmosphere, engaging with guests, and ensuring the smooth flow of events. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong sense of hospitality, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently. Prior experience in marketing, guest services, or hospitality is a plus, as is familiarity with upselling and negotiation techniques. This position offers an exciting opportunity to connect people and create memorable experiences in a lively social environment.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests upon arrival, ensuring they feel comfortable and engaged from the start
Facilitate event activities, including introductions, timing, and transitions between sessions
Provide exceptional guest services by addressing questions and resolving any issues promptly
Promote additional offerings or upgrades through upselling strategies while maintaining a friendly demeanor
Manage event logistics, including scheduling, organization of tables, and adherence to timeframes
Maintain a professional and energetic presence throughout the event to foster a fun and inviting atmosphere
Collaborate with team members to ensure the event runs smoothly and efficiently
Gather feedback from guests to improve future events and enhance customer satisfaction

Requirements

Proven experience in guest services, hospitality, or related fields such as restaurant or hotel experience preferred
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage diverse groups of people effectively
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for managing event flow and guest interactions
Ability to negotiate politely and upsell services or products when appropriate
Exceptional time management skills to keep events on schedule
Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly, approachable demeanor
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Previous experience in event hosting or similar roles is advantageous but not required; training will be provided as needed
