Practice Details:

Work alongside a team dedicated to exceptional neurological care.

Here at Kelowna General Hospital, youâ€™ll have access to highâ€‘end neuroimaging, including a new 3T MRI and additional MRI capacity that improves brain imaging quality and turnaround times, plus a dedicated highâ€‘speed CT scanner in the Emergency Department and onâ€‘site EEG/EMG.

With acute stroke care managed separately by the neurologist on call for stroke, you will provide onâ€‘site care in the emergency department and inpatient consults.

If your ideal day starts with a paddle and ends on the trails, this locum could be a great fit for a miniâ€‘vacation or a trial run for a permanent position at KGH.

Qualifications:

Eligible for licensure with CPSBC
Coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association is mandatory
Eligible for Fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC)

Call Schedule:

Hours of work: Full time
On call requirements: Scheduling is flexible to meet the needs of interested locums. Interested locums may choose to cover daytime only or days and nights. A minimum of 8h on-site is required per 24h period.

Compensation:

Estimated Gross Income

An income guarantee (IG) of $3,178 per 24â€‘hour period is available until September 30, 2026. The IG is inclusive of all income sources. Each 24â€‘hour IG period requires a minimum of 8 hours worked.
