Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of medical office procedures, familiarity with electronic medical records, and excellent communication skills. Prior experience with office management systems such as Accuro is highly desirable. The Medical Receptionist will play a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations within a busy medical practice.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression
Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and direct calls appropriately
Verify patient information and update electronic medical records accurately using systems like Accuro
Collect patient co-payments and process payments efficiently at the front desk
Confirm appointments, reschedule as needed, and manage appointment calendars to optimize clinic flow
Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures, including insurance verification and data entry
Maintain organized front desk area and ensure all administrative supplies are stocked
Handle correspondence, including emails and mail, related to patient care and administrative functions
Support office staff with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document preparation
Must be able to work evenings and weekends

Skills

Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Accuro
Strong knowledge of Medical Terminology
Previous experience as a Medical Office setting preferred
Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare providers
Familiarity with multi-line phone systems and front desk operations
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing schedules and records
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Office experience that demonstrates professionalism, reliability, and confidentiality
