Position Overview
Hurricane is seeking skilled and motivated Service Technicians to join our team. In this role, you’ll provide technical support, diagnostics, and repair services on forklifts, compact equipment, and other industrial machinery. Whether you’re on-site, in the field, or at one of our facilities, your work will keep our customers running safely and efficiently.
What You’ll Be Doing
If you can diagnose and repair vehicles, you already have the core skillset. Here, you’ll apply it to equipment that includes hydraulics, electrical systems, engines, and controls—just on a different platform.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues
- Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections
- Troubleshoot equipment in real-world conditions—not just in a bay
- Work directly with customers to resolve issues and minimize downtime
- Identify additional service opportunities and promote maintenance programs
- Complete work orders and inspections using mobile technology
- Work closely with dispatch, parts, and management to keep jobs moving

What You Bring
- Experience as an automotive technician or similar mechanical role
- Strong diagnostic ability (electrical and mechanical)
- Comfortable working independently in the field
- Valid driver’s license
- Red Seal (Automotive or Heavy Duty) is an asset
Tools & Equipment
- You’ll bring your own basic hand tools (just like in an automotive shop)
- We provide a fully equipped service truck with specialty tools, diagnostic equipment, and common shop supplies
- Additional tools and equipment are supplied as required to support the job
Safety & Expectations
- Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized service truck and work environment
- Complete accurate and timely documentation for all work performed
- Continuously develop your skills through training and hands-on experience
