Full job description

Job Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of experience in construction, building envelope, sheet metal, or flashing installation.
Proven experience installing architectural and building envelope flashings.
Experience with window, door, balcony, deck, roof, parapet, wall, and transition flashings.
Ability to measure, cut, bend, fabricate, and install metal flashing accurately.
Strong understanding of waterproofing principles, drainage planes, and building envelope systems.
Experience working with membranes, sealants, caulking, siding, and related exterior building materials.
Ability to read drawings, specifications, measurements, and installation details.
Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, scaffolding, and elevated work platforms.
Must have your own hand tools and reliable truck, van, or minivan.
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce clean, professional finished work.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Excellent team player with the ability to work independently when required.
Professional attitude and outstanding customer service when working at occupied residential and commercial properties.
Valid BC Driver’s Licence with a clean driver’s abstract.
Must be able to provide a criminal record check.

Job Responsibilities:

Install, repair, and replace metal flashing and related building envelope components.
Measure, cut, bend, fit, and fasten flashing to meet project specifications and site conditions.
Complete flashing installations around windows, doors, balconies, roofs, parapets, wall transitions, penetrations, and other exterior building components.
Install and integrate flashing with waterproofing membranes, sealants, siding, and other building envelope systems.
Identify existing deficiencies and assist with determining appropriate repair solutions.
Ensure all work is completed accurately, safely, and to a professional standard.
Execute assigned work orders and project tasks within required timelines.
Protect customer property and maintain clean and organized work areas.
Adhere to company health and safety policies and procedures.
Adhere to Blue Star Projects standards and policies while working at customer sites.
Follow applicable manufacturer specifications and installation requirements.
Maintain knowledge of relevant municipal and provincial building code requirements as they relate to building envelope construction, flashing, waterproofing, and repairs.
Communicate site conditions, deficiencies, material requirements, and progress to the Project Manager or Site Supervisor.
