Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Summer Camp Leaders to join our team and create a fun, safe, and engaging environment for children during our summer programs. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with children, foster their development, and lead a variety of educational and recreational activities. Ideal candidates will have a passion for working with kids, strong leadership skills, and experience in early childhood education or related fields. The Summer Camp Leader will be instrumental in ensuring a memorable summer experience for all participants while promoting safety and positive behavior.

Responsibilities

Lead and facilitate a variety of camp activities, including arts and crafts, sports, games, and educational projects
Supervise children to ensure their safety and well-being at all times
Assist with planning and organizing daily schedules and special events
Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and fun
Provide tutoring or educational support as needed to enhance learning experiences
Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding camper progress and concerns
Enforce camp rules and promote respectful behavior among participants
Assist with setting up and cleaning activity areas before and after sessions
Support fellow staff members in managing group dynamics and ensuring smooth operations

Qualifications

Must have First Aid certificate
Prior experience working with children in educational or recreational settings is preferred
Background in tutoring, teaching, or early childhood education is highly desirable
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and engage children of various ages
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and team members
Ability to plan, organize, and adapt activities based on group needs
Reliable, responsible, and committed to creating a positive camp experience
Must be energetic, patient, and enthusiastic about working outdoors and in active environments
