Your Role as a Lawyer
You’ll be an integral part of our personal injury team, assisting in the management and handling of files from intake to resolution. Key responsibilities include:
- Draft and review a variety of legal documents, such as contracts, agreements, pleadings, and correspondence.
- Represent clients in negotiations, questioning, mediations and other legal proceedings
- Collaborate with colleagues and legal professionals to create effective legal strategies and solutions.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on issues related to Ontario laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files, records, and documentation.
- Stay informed about changes in legislation, legal trends, and precedents relevant to Ontario.
- Build and nurture strong client relationships, providing personalized attention and exceptional service.
- Uphold ethical standards and professional integrity in all aspects of practice.
Requirements
- Called to the Bar in Ontario with a valid license to practice law.
- 3-5 years of experience handling personal injury and or civil litigation files
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong time management, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Eagerness to learn and a positive, can-do attitude.
