Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Kitchen Helper to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, hospitality, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety. Previous experience in restaurant, kitchen, or hotel settings is a plus but not required. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in food preparation and hospitality operations.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and basic cooking under supervision
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly
Support the food handling process to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met
Help with stocking supplies and organizing kitchen storage areas
Assist in serving food to guests or customers as needed
Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
Support the team during busy service hours by providing general assistance as required

Qualifications

Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or hotel environments is preferred but not mandatory
Knowledge of cleaning procedures and food handling safety standards
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Basic understanding of food preparation and cooking techniques is a plus
Hospitality experience is desirable but not essential
Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from senior staff
