Full job description

At Receiver Coffee, we believe great baking is a craft and the bakers take pride in baking scratch made bread and pastries from high end ingredients.

Recipes are only the starting point. Every day brings different flour, humidity, temperatures, and fermentation times. The person we're looking for understands how to read dough, make adjustments, and consistently produce exceptional bread and pastries every single day.

If you love the science as much as the art, we'd love to meet you.

What you'll be doing

You'll be responsible for producing our daily selection of breads, pastries, cookies, scones and other baked goods from scratch, alongside a team of talented (and fun) bakers.

This is an overnight production position where quality matters more than shortcuts. You'll manage doughs through every stage, from mixing and fermentation to shaping, proofing and baking, while maintaining the consistency our guests expect every day.

You'll also help develop new products, refine existing recipes, and take pride in keeping a clean, organized bakery.

The schedule

Four 10-hour shifts each week
Three consecutive days off
Shift starts at 2:00 a.m.

You might be a great fit if...

You have professional experience in bread or pastry baking.
You understand fermentation, hydration, gluten development and dough temperature.
You can recognize when a dough needs adjusting rather than blindly following a recipe.
You enjoy working independently while maintaining high standards.
You care about consistency as much as you care about creativity.
You take pride in producing beautiful food from scratch.
