Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Service Writer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive repair services, ensuring a seamless experience from initial inquiry to service completion. This role requires excellent customer service skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to upsell services effectively.

Duties

Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their automotive service needs.
Accurately document customer concerns and vehicle information in the system.
Provide detailed explanations of services and repairs needed, utilizing mechanical knowledge to address customer inquiries.
Upsell additional services based on customer needs and vehicle condition.
Coordinate with mechanics to ensure timely completion of services and communicate updates to customers.
Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of payments and invoices.
Foster strong relationships with customers through exceptional service and follow-up communication.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to dealership standards.

Requirements

Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a dealership environment.
Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair is highly desirable.
Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Experience with cash handling and sales processes.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer engagement.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work well under pressure.
Familiarity with automotive repair terminology and processes is a plus.
