Job Details

The City of St. Albert is recruiting an individual to join our Information Technology department as an IT Business Analyst. Reporting to the Manager, IT Projects and Business Relationship Management, you will lead business analysis activities for projects and strategic initiatives by facilitating engagement with cross-functional teams of internal and external stakeholders. You will also collaborate with staff at a variety of levels across the organization to understand business processes, functions, and capabilities and to identify solutions that address business requirements.

This position will support the Next Generation 9-1-1 and Enterprise Maintenance Management and Asset Management projects, working alongside the project team to assist in the implementation of these systems.

Qualifications

A Bachelors Degree in Computer Sciences, Commerce, Business or related discipline with 5 years of related experience is required. Or a related Diploma with 7 years of related experience is required.
Direct work experience in a business analyst role is required.
Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA), Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), and/or PMI Professional in Business Analysis certification(s) would be an asset.
Experience with IT projects in a municipality is an asset.
Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.

Hours of Work

We offer a compressed bi-weekly work schedule of 72 hours, Monday - Friday, 8:00 – 5:00, with a biweekly regular day off (RDO).

Compensation

The salary ranges from $86,055.32 - $105,914.90 per year including a comprehensive benefits package and accrued paid vacation starting at 3 weeks per year.
