Friday 08:30 to 16:30

About this position:
Queen Victoria Hospital is a Level 1 community hospital providing a wide range of services to residents and visitors throughout the region, including acute care, emergency services, laboratory and diagnostic imaging, obstetrics, physiotherapy, outpatient ambulatory care, and specialized community health programs. In this position, a Physiotherapist works across the care continuum, which includes Acute Care, Outpatient, Long-term Care (i.e. Mount Cartier Court), and Community Care.
The Physiotherapist functions both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, delivering comprehensive physiotherapy services. These include assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program development, consultation, equipment prescription, and education for clients and/or their caregivers to support functional independence and optimize health outcomes. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the Physiotherapist contributes to departmental and professional goals by participating in quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and educational activities. They also provide guidance and direction to the rehabilitation assistant working within the team.
