Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest quality of food production, and maintaining a positive dining experience for our guests. This position requires a strong background in culinary arts, excellent leadership abilities, and a commitment to food safety and quality standards.

Duties

Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning and recipe development.
Supervise kitchen staff and manage daily operations to ensure efficient food production.
Oversee food preparation and presentation to maintain high standards of quality.
Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
Train and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques, presentation, and safety practices.
Collaborate with the catering team for special events and banquets.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
Participate in shift management to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service hours.

Skills

Proven experience in fine dining or restaurant management.
Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques.
Experience in supervising kitchen staff and managing a team effectively.
Knowledge of inventory management and control processes.
Familiarity with menu planning and catering services.
Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team management.
Understanding of food safety standards and regulations.
Background in hospitality with strong customer service skills.
Experience in the food industry, including dietary department knowledge is a plus.
