Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Technician/Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is essential to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Duties

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Reconcile bank and credit card transactions.
Prepare monthly financial statements.
Assist with budgeting and cash flow management.
Maintain GST/HST records and prepare filings.
Provide year-end accounting support and assist with audit preparation.

Qualifications

College diploma in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field.
2–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
Proven experience using accounting software, such as Sage.
Experience with full-cycle bookkeeping.
Excellent organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
Experience in the hospitality, tourism, lodging, resort, hotel, or property management industry is considered an asset.

This position is ideal for a candidate who is meticulous, proactive, and eager to contribute to the financial health of the organization through accurate recordkeeping and strong accounting practices.

Pay: $30.00 per hour
