Job Description:

We are looking for a Shipping Receiving Technician to join our growing team and support our fast-paced, high-volume, made-to-order Sprocket Manufacturer in the beautiful South Slocan, BC. We offer a relaxed and human-centric and inclusive environment where our team members are encouraged to be themselves and learn in a safe atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

Packaging, labeling and arranging for shipments leaving our facility
Completing all freight documentation/book pickups and labeling product
Receiving all shipments delivered to the door ensuring all are weighed
Ensuring material received matches packing slip and purchase orders match up to packing slip
Use of forklift (big and small) for loading and unloading shipments from freight trucks
Ensuring sufficient supplies are located in the shipping area
Help co-workers in the assembly and final completion of parts for shipping
Make sure the work area is clean to ensure a safe environment
Complete any other tasks assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the shop
Act as a member of a team to support the production of sprockets

Requirements:

High attention to detail
High level of adaptability and learning agility
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
Ability to read blueprints and drawings to identify quality issues (training will be provided with this skill development)
Ability to stand for 10-hour shifts and ability to safely lift 50lbs
Ability to work 4 on 4 off on a rotation schedule, including weekends and stat holidays
Previous experience in shipping, warehousing or manufacturing, preferred
