The Rouxbarb Restaurant - Utopia, NB
Full Time

The Rouxbarb is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.

The ideal candidate will have attention to cleanliness, food safety, and supporting the overall hospitality experience. Previous restaurant, kitchen, or hotel experience is a plus but not required. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced setting where being detail oriented and teamwork are valued.

What you'll do:

Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness standards are met
Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic food handling and setup
Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure proper disposal of waste
Support the kitchen staff by providing clean dishes and utensils promptly during service hours
Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation
Restock supplies in the dishwashing area and assist with general kitchen cleaning duties as required
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods

What we're looking for:

Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or hotel environments is preferred but not mandatory
Knowledge of cleaning procedures, food handling safety standards, and sanitation practices
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues
Flexibility to work through weekends, evenings, and holidays
Basic understanding of food preparation and cooking processes is advantageous but not required
