Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. We are seeking a highly skilled, talented and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist in the Finance Claims, IT & Fleet team to join an innovative environment where creativity knows no bound.

In this role, your activities will relate to large-scale projects that have impacts on Intact’s Claims department.
We are aiming to find and develop a candidate that will work alongside the Manager leading those activities for the Finance Claims, IT & Fleet team and will be involved in various streams of the projects where the team’s expertise is required.
In your new role, you will act as a key stakeholder to make sure that the team can produce high quality deliverable and assume the expected leadership in these initiatives.
This is a full-time permanent position that can be based in Montreal, Laval, Toronto or St-Hyacinthe.

What you will accomplish with us:

Financial Reporting for Project Portfolio:
-
Gather, understand, reconcile the necessary operational, financial and project-specific data.
-
Help develop innovative and creative solutions (tools, models, processes) to identify key performance trends and improvement opportunities, address complex matters and ensure compliance.

Provide insights, analysis, modelling, tools, and business support to measure and track benefits of projects and initiatives and maximize productivity.

Participate to project management meetings;
-
Collaboration with the Financial Planning & Analysis team to ensure alignment and to adequately capture project benefits;
-
Present key findings to diverse stakeholders.
Process Improvement:-
Support initiatives to enhance financial reporting and addressing business challenges and needs.

Gain a detailed understanding of the context and need of the various stakeholders involved in the activities/initiatives.

Propose, implement, and test innovative solutions to streamline operations and enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness of reporting/planning activities related to project monitoring and corporate fleet management.
Collaboration:-
Work closely with multiple stakeholders to ensure alignment.

Foster strong relationships across teams to drive collaborative success.
Other activities:-
Support the National Fleet team and strategy, helping provide process and performance insight and optimization. This includes evolving the climate strategy and execution, providing insightful analysis to minimize the cost and maximize the efficiency of the fleet with high customer satisfaction.

Provide accounting support to the National Fleet team.
What you will bring:

Professional accounting or finance designation
-
Post-secondary education in Finance or Accounting – is required
-
5+ yrs of experience including experience in financial/data analysis and preparation of written reports of various forms

Past experience with project management activities, considered an asset

Excellent proficiency with Excel
-
Proficiency with advanced analysis and visualization tools (Power BI, Power Query, Python, etc.)

Demonstrated experience in a fast learning environment requiring agility and adaptability to change

Discipline, autonomy and professionalism

Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

Can interact with various people at all levels of the organization, including management and some external stakeholders

For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
