About Us

Cigar Lake, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s highest-grade uranium mine. The uranium produced at Cigar Lake is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future.

The Role

Reporting to the process supervisor, your role will focus on ensuring the safe, effective and efficient operation of the Cigar Lake’s process areas. This entry-level role will provide you with the opportunity to learn and grow with Cigar Lake’s process team and is well suited for a motivated individual who wants to be involved in the day-to-day operations of the site.

In this role, you will:

Operate circuits as per outlined procedures and guidelines.
Identify, document, and report any maintenance concerns.

Required:

grade 12 or equivalent;
three to five years of mill or process operation work experience, preferably in the uranium industry;
industrial water treatment experience;
equivalent combination of education and experience considered;
valid Class 5 driver’s license;
ability to work independently and in a team environment;
comfortable working on both surface and underground; and
work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.

Recommended:

previous experience in an industrial workplace or uranium mill;
potable water treatment level 1 and level 2 certification; and
wastewater treatment level 1 certification.
