Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Design Consultant to join our team. This role involves engaging with clients to understand their needs, presenting design solutions, and guiding them through the selection process. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for interior design and renovation projects. As a Design Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service while driving high-end sales and fostering lasting client relationships. If you are currently a fast paced administrative assistant and would appreciate the opportunity to add inside sales assisting to your daily tasks, this job opening may be a perfect fit for future growth within our company.

Duties

Engage with customers through inside sales and outside sales approaches to identify their design needs and preferences
Conduct product demos and showcase various design options using tools like SketchUp and CAD software
Assist clients with renovation, construction, and merchandising ideas to enhance their spaces
Manage account management activities, including follow-ups and maintaining customer records
Utilize POS systems for transactions, including cash handling and processing payments efficiently
Implement effective up-selling strategies to maximize sales opportunities
Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
Support marketing efforts by participating in promotional events and developing strategies for high-end sales
Maintain organized displays and ensure the store’s visual presentation aligns with merchandising standards
Demonstrate strong negotiation skills to close sales effectively
Administrative Assistant Duties and Forward Facing assistance in our showroom

Requirements

Proven experience in retail sales, high-end sales, or related fields such as interior design, renovation, or construction
Proficiency with design software such as SketchUp and CAD is preferred
Strong understanding of inside sales, outside sales, and effective communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and account management
Ability to perform basic math calculations for transactions and measurements
Experience with POS systems, cash handling, and cashiering procedures
Knowledge of marketing strategies, product demos, and upselling techniques
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
