Overview

We are seeking a reliable Full-Time Local AZ / Class 1A Driver to handle our local transportation needs. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of intermodal containers in and around the Saskatoon area. As a valued team player, you will also occasionally provide support to our warehouse operations to ensure freight moves smoothly.

Duties

Safely operate Class 1A commercial trucks for local freight deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Load, unload, and secure freight using forklifts and other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols are followed
Perform comprehensive Pre-Trip and Post-Trip vehicle inspections.
Maintain accurate logbooks and demonstrate a clear understanding of Hours of Service (HoS) regulations.
Provide occasional support with general warehouse duties, including safe forklift operation.
Follow all safety procedures during loading, unloading, and transit to prevent accidents or damage

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of commercial AZ (Class 1A) driving experience with a valid license.
Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably within local freight or logistics operations
Minimum 1 year of general warehousing experience, including the ability to operate a forklift.
Direct experience working with intermodal containers.
Skilled in forklift operation and heavy equipment handling with relevant certifications preferred
Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards in transportation environments
Strong communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
Physically capable of lifting heavy loads, standing for extended periods, and performing manual tasks as required

Pay: $23.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50.0 – 60.0 per week

Saskatoon, SK S7M 5S9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

Commercial AZ (Class 1A) driving: 2 years (required)
Working with intermodal containers: 1 year (preferred)
Warehousing: 1 year (required)

Forklift Licence (preferred)
