BOLD Growth is a small craft-cannabis company providing consistent and high-quality products in the extremely competitive cannabis industry. Our success can be attributed to the collaboration of each of BOLD’s hardworking and dedicated team members. At BOLD, we pride ourselves on producing best-in-class craft cannabis products that outperform our competitors.
At BOLD, we're always chasing what's next - not just managing what exists. This is a hands-on position for someone who gets fired up by new ideas, loves to experiment, and wants a real say in what we bring to market.
You’ll play a direct role in shaping BOLD’s future product lineup by helping move concepts from idea through development, sourcing, testing, and refinement of products.
What you’ll be doing
This role is responsible for helping drive new product development and strategic sourcing initiatives across the business — from concept through commercialization.
- Source cannabis materials from external partner and other license producers
- Build and maintain working relationships with existing and new suppliers
- Understand and assess product quality, pricing, and sensory characteristics
- Organize incoming samples and test results
- Develop and test new product ideas - from concept through to completion
- Experiment with new formats, inputs, and combinations to see what performs
- Comfortable evaluating products you design and providing thoughtful, experience-based feedback to support continuous improvement
- Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and operations to bring products to life
- Conduct product trials, document results, and refine based on findings
- Contribute to packaging ideas and overall product experience
- Stay current on cannabis trends, formats, and innovation across the industry
- Work within Health Canada regulations with support from internal teams
- Summarize findings and recommendations in a clear, practical way for leadership
What sets you apart
- You’re genuinely interested in cannabis and excited by the idea of creating products
- You’re comfortable evaluating the products you design and using that experience to make them better
- You can hold your own in conversations with other licensed producers - you understand quality, pricing, and what’s worth bringing in
- You understand supply chain and procurement practices
- You think like a consumer - balancing product quality, cost, and market potential
- You understand production realities and can adapt ideas to fit within operational capabilities
- You take initiative and naturally move ideas forward
- You communicate clearly and can turn ideas and results into actionable recommendations
What we’re looking for
- 2+ years of experience in cannabis (or other CPG)
- Experience in product development, procurement, and supply chain management
- Strong understanding of cannabis products and formats
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented, with a practical and solutions-focused mindset
What this role looks like
- Full-time, Monday to Friday (daytime hours)
- Based in Saskatoon (on-site role with some travel)
- Occasional evenings/weekends depending on launches or priorities
- Hands on involvement in product testing, sourcing, and development
