About the Role

Silverstone Care Centre is seeking a compassionate and professional Hairdresser / Hairstylist to provide hair care services to our residents. This role is an important part of enhancing residents’ confidence, comfort, and quality of life in a person-centred care environment.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys meaningful connections, flexible scheduling, and working in a calm, respectful healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

Provide professional hair services including haircuts, shampooing, blow-drying, and styling.
Deliver services in a patient, respectful, and person-centred manner.
Adapt services to meet the physical, cognitive, and emotional needs of residents.
Support residents living with dementia or mobility challenges with dignity and care.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Follow all infection prevention and control practices.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional boundaries at all times.

Qualifications

Valid Hairdresser / Hairstylist certification or trade qualification (as required).
Experience working with seniors or in a healthcare setting is an asset.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Compassionate, patient, and reliable.
Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (required).
Proof of required immunizations, as per facility policy.
