Full job description

Rosewood Simcoe Inc. is a 61-suite retirement home to positively enriching the lives of our residents in partnership with UniversalCare, our family members, valued employees, and community partners.

Our team is currently hiring for an existing vacancy, a permanent full-time General Manager.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
-Plans, coordinates and monitors effectiveness of all operational and quality improvement activities.
-Oversees and supports all human resources related functions.
-Direct management of all Departmental Managers and indirect management of all employees.
-Manages and monitors all budgets, strategic fiscal plans and monitors occupancy.
-Ensures quality risk management activities are implemented and maintained.
-Ensures compliance with organizational standards, the collective agreement, as applicable and all relevant regulations, and/or legislative requirements and strategic initiatives. -Establishes marketing objectives, sets weekly and monthly sales targets to facilitate optimal occupancy and manages all sales activities related to lead management.-Participates in multi-disciplinary care conferences, the strategic planning process, committees and other meetings, maintains an organized system of records management.
-Performs other duties as assigned.
-Works in accordance with the organization's Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
-Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
-Must have three (3) years working experience in a managerial or supervisor capacity in a healthcare setting, preferably within the retirement sector.
-Sound knowledge of the Retirement Home Act and other relevant regulations and legislation.
-Excellent leadership, oral and written communication skills, and strong relationship building abilities.
-Proficiency with computerized documentation systems.
-Satisfactory vulnerable sector check and TB test.
