Full job description

Parts for Trucks has been an industry leader providing parts and service to the heavy-duty trucking industry for over 100 years. With operations coast to coast, Parts for Trucks offers a complete range of products and services for all makes of trucks and trailers. We are pleased to announce a new opportunity, Operational Excellence - Parts, specifically designed to support our branches and drive consistent, measurable improvement in parts store operations across the network. This newly created role at Parts for Trucks seeks dedicated operational expertise that works directly with Branch and Regional Managers in the Western Region to identify operational gaps, standardize processes, and support overall branch performance.

Responsibilities:

Partner directly with Branch Managers to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities using operational data, reporting and branch insights.
Serve as a subject-matter expert in Infor CloudSuite Distribution (CSD) system, ISM and Power BI, ensuring systems are being used effectively and consistently across branches.
Develop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to reduce operational variance and establish consistent, reliable processes.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on service levels, inventory accuracy, productivity, and cost control.
Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to address recurring operational challenges and build sustainable improvements.
Act as a connector between branches, systems teams, and leadership to ensure overall clarity and alignment.

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience in an operations role within the heavy-duty truck and trailer parts industry or a related industry with a focus on process improvement through performance analysis.
Proficiency in technology, including Microsoft Office products and various software programs.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management, and critical thinking skills.
Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make evidence-based process improvement recommendations.
Willingness to travel regularly between branch locations.
Lean and/or Six Sigma training or certification would be considered an asset.
