Olive Events is growing, and I'm looking for the right person to grow alongside me.
This is more than a traditional administrative assistant role. I'm looking for someone who is intuitive, proactive, creative, and genuinely enjoys building relationships with people. Someone who can anticipate needs before being asked, help create exceptional client experiences, and become an integral part of the business.
If you're the type of person who loves organization, enjoys problem solving, isn't afraid to dive into research, and would be just as happy grabbing a coffee together as tackling a new project, I'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
This is primarily a remote position with flexible hours based on workload. While you'll be working from home most of the time, I'm looking for someone who lives on Lower Vancouver Island so we can occasionally meet in person for planning sessions, coffee, or team meetings.
This role will evolve over time. As Olive Events continues to grow, there will be opportunities to take on more responsibility and shape your position within the company.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing and responding to client emails
- Assisting with administrative tasks and organization
- Researching vendors, venues, accommodations, products, and services for clients
- Helping build timelines, planning documents, and client resources
- Assisting with workflow management and project organization
- Working alongside AI tools while maintaining a warm, personal, and human client experience
- Helping create systems that improve efficiency without losing the personal touch
- Supporting special projects as they arise
- Occasionally assisting with social media, content, or creative brainstorming

These are absolutely not required but would be considered an asset.
- Wedding, event, hospitality, or customer service experience
- Experience using Google Workspace, Canva, HoneyBook, or similar platforms
- Photography, social media, or marketing experience
- Interest in event coordination

If you're interested, there may also be opportunities to assist with onsite weddings and events as an Assistant Coordinator. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in the wedding industry while developing both administrative and event coordination skills.

Hours & Compensation

Pay: $21.00-$35.00 per hour
