Join Our Team in the Water Industry
ControlChem Canada is looking for a motivated, organized, and technically capable individual to join our Burlington team as a Quality & Laboratory Technician. This is an in-person position within a collaborative and fast-paced environment where quality, innovation, and teamwork are highly valued.
We are seeking someone who can not only support day-to-day laboratory and analytical activities, but also help bring structure and coordination to ongoing product development and quality initiatives. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and confident managing multiple priorities while contributing to continuous improvement projects across the organization.
Overall Responsibilities
As the Quality & Laboratory Technician, you will represent ControlChem in a professional and positive manner in all interactions with staff, clients, vendors, and field personnel. After training, you will take ownership of daily analytical workflow while supporting product formulation, verification, documentation, and quality coordination activities.
This role is well suited for someone who enjoys both hands-on laboratory work and helping organize and drive technical projects forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform water sample analysis, logging, and reporting including titrations, jar testing, calibration, % solids, and related analytical procedures.
- Coordinate daily laboratory workflow to support timely and accurate testing activities.
- Organize and support product development work related to formulation, verification, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist in planning and coordinating laboratory and quality-related projects to ensure priorities and timelines are maintained.
- Send water samples for third-party analysis while tracking, documenting, and reviewing results.
- Maintain laboratory inventory, organization, and housekeeping standards.
- Manage and organize product files, formulas, and technical documentation.
- Assist with quality planning, logging, and documentation for raw materials and finished products.
- Support the creation, modification, and maintenance of Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Product Profiles, and Product Labels.
- Conduct raw material and product testing, approvals, and verification activities.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts and provide additional support where needed to benefit clients, the sales team, and the company.
- Work in alignment with ControlChem’s Vision, Mission, Goals, and Values.
- Support and comply with all company policies and procedures including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, Health & Safety, Marketing, and Human Resources policies.
- Ensure all applicable laws and regulations are followed at all times, including labor, environmental, highway traffic, and criminal law.

Education & Experience
- University degree or College diploma in a technical or science-related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Previous laboratory, quality, or technical coordination experience is considered an asset

Working Conditions
This is a full-time, permanent, in-person position based in Burlington, Ontario.
Typical hours are:
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Additional hours may occasionally be required depending on workload demands.
Employees are provided:
- Two paid 10-minute breaks
- One 30-minute unpaid lunch break
Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
