HR Project Partners is recruiting a Director of Corporate Services for MMSB. Reporting to the CEO, this role provides strategic leadership across finance, HR, IT, information management, governance, and administration. As a key member of the senior management team, the Director supports organizational objectives with expert advisory services and strong ethical leadership.

Essential Job Functions:
Financial Management
- Lead all accounting and finance functions; act as subject matter expert on budgetary and financial matters.
- Provide strategic financial advice and analysis to the CEO, senior management, Board, and Audit Committee.
- Manage year‑end audit processes and liaise with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS) and maintain strong internal controls.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term financial planning ( > $20M annual budget).
- Approve vendor, trust fund, payroll, and benefits payments ( > $20M annually).
- Manage procurement under the Public Procurement Act and oversee financial systems, banking relationships, and investment strategies.
- Identify financial risks and manage corporate insurance requirements.
Information Technology
- Oversee IT strategy and operations in consultation with the Senior Systems Analyst.
- Support planning, development, integration, and maintenance of enterprise systems.
- Ensure effective IT support and continuous improvement of information systems.
Compliance Audit
- Provide leadership to the compliance audit function and approve annual workplans.
- Offer technical guidance on audit practices and program requirements.
Human Resources
- Lead HR strategy, policy development, and administration of the Collective Agreement.
- Support labour relations, grievances, staffing, succession planning, and employee development.
- Oversee benefits, pension, and workplace culture initiatives.
Corporate Governance
- Advise the CEO on key corporate issues and ensure strong governance practices.
- Interpret legislation and briefing materials for financial, HR, IT, and IM impacts.
- Maintain corporate policies and support Board and Audit Committee activities.
- Prepare memos, briefing notes, and decision materials.
Administration and General Operations
- Improve administrative systems and oversee office operations.
- Act as ATIPP Coordinator and support OH&S requirements.
- Engage external consultants as needed and ensure effective delivery of administrative services.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Business (B.Comm or BBA).
- CPA designation required.
- Minimum 5 years management experience.
- Strong background in finance, auditing, analysis, and interpreting legislation.
- Knowledge of PSAS, labour standards, HR policies, procurement, and waste management regulations considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of IT and information management systems.
