Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled labourer/ Class I driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently. They will assist in the unloading and loading of goods. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate heavy equipment.

Duties

Load and unload freight, utilizing forklift/ pay loader when necessary.
Operate commercial trucks to transport freight to various locations in a timely manner.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Load and unload freight, utilizing forklift/ pay loader when necessary.
Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating heavy equipment.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
Proven experience in commercial driving, with a strong understanding of freight handling procedures.
Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is preferred.
Experience operating forklifts is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the road.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
