Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Jr. Bookkeeper to join our team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop accounting skills within a professional environment. The ideal candidate will assist with maintaining accurate financial records, supporting various accounting functions, and ensuring the integrity of financial data. Prior experience with accounting software and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and job costing are required. This role is perfect for individuals eager to grow their career in finance and accounting.

Duties

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice entry, vendor payments, and client billing
Perform job cost tracking and coding of expenses to active construction projects in QuickBooks Online
Reconcile accounts and support month-end close procedures
Maintain accurate and organized digital and physical filing systems
Communicate with subcontractors, vendors, and team members to resolve billing and administrative inquiries
Assist the Office Coordinator with administrative duties as required
Support reporting and documentation needs across active job files

Experience & Qualifications

Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (required)
Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation
Experience in job costing, preferably in a construction or trades environment
Experience with bank reconciliation and account analysis
Knowledge of payroll processing and related compliance requirements
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills to effectively document and report financial information
Basic budgeting skills are a plus
Eagerness to learn and grow within the accounting field

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
