Overview
Reporting to the site foreman, the Directional Driller/Locator is responsible for performing various tasks to assist in the day-to-day operations of a construction site. Tasks include but are not limited to operating Drill trucks/trailers, Vermeer S3/S2 drills (40x55,20x22,10x15)and F5/F2 Falcon locators.

Responsibilities
- Operate directional drilling equipment to install underground utilities efficiently.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of heavy machinery ensuring all equipment is in safe working condition.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute drilling projects while adhering to safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of drilling operations and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Utilize Class 1 and Class 3 licenses to transport equipment and materials to job sites as needed.
Requirements:
- Ability to work outdoors
- Minimum 1 year experience with directional drilling and/or locating
- Experience with underground utility and telecommunication installations
- Must live in Canada to apply
- Travel out of town and stay overnights on specialty projects
- Required to work in all weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.)
Qualifications:
- Class 3 License (Required)
- Class 3 License with Air (Preferred)
- Class 1 License (Ideal)
- Willing to work flexible hours depending on the needs of the project (Overtime, Evenings, etc.)
- Excellent stamina
- Impeccable work ethic
- Demonstrates the ability to work well independently with minimal supervision assuming accountability for achieving results.
- Troubleshoot equipment as needed
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and co workers
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
