School Administrative Assistant
Full-Time Term Position from July 13, 2026, to June 30, 2027
St. John’s-Ravenscourt School seeks an enthusiastic and outgoing individual to coordinate staffing assignments for substitute and cover teachers and provide administrative and clerical services in the Junior School, Middle School and Senior School offices. The candidate must have the ability to interact effectively and professionally with young adolescents, parents, staff, administration and visitors to SJR. Previous experience working within a professional environment with young adolescents will be considered an asset, but not a requirement. Equally important is the ability to function independently and collaboratively within the administrative school team. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years’ experience in a scheduling/professional administrative assistant role. The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). In addition, required skills include effective organization, time management, exceptional client relation services and database management skills. Problem solving, flexibility and adapting to changes are important attributes within this busy School and fast-paced office environment. Well-developed written communication skills with a high level of grammatical and spelling accuracy, excellent interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail, professional confidentiality and readiness to take initiative as well as direction are requirements for success in this position. The hours for this position will be from 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.
