Smitty's Restaurant & Lounge - STETTLER - AB

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to oversee daily operations in a busy food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant and food industry experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining efficient restaurant operations to provide an outstanding dining experience.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency
Manage food handling procedures in compliance with safety regulations
Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed
Ensure adherence to food safety standards and sanitation protocols
Lead team meetings, facilitate communication between front-of-house and kitchen staff
Assist with interviewing and onboarding new team members
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management
Strong leadership and team management abilities with supervising experience
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
Effective communication skills for team coordination and customer interactions
Experience in breakfast or all-day dining restaurant settings.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Previous restaurant or food service experience is essential, including kitchen experience.
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive work environment
