Full job description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our Team on our Edmonton Head Office!

Rosenau Transport is now part of GLS Canada! This allows us to deliver exceptional transportation solutions nationwide. Join us as we embark on this exciting journey together!

This position will be responsible for accounts receivable administration and the processing account collections.

General & Specific Responsibilities:

Listing and applying all bank deposits (checks, branch, credit cards, intercompany, offsets, US checks etc.)
Reception coverage
Handle and resolve customer complaints with respect to posting errors.
Handle customer requests for service and information in a timely manner.
Filing of deposits
Shredding old deposits
Credit card processing
Open mail and add account numbers to checks.
Pulling check copies for reconciliation
Observe all company rules, policies, and procedures with regards to quality control, Occupational Health and Safety, etc.
Handle and resolve customer complaints with respect to accounts receivable, including rating and posting errors.
Process credit card payments as requested.

Education/Work Experience

Computer or Business Administration Program an asset.
Grade 12 or equivalent education and work experience.

Skills

Must have professional communication both verbal and written.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs.
High attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
AS400 Computer System, Scanning and Imaging experience an asset.

Job Hazards:

General office hazards occur with slipping, tripping, and falling
Ergonomic hazards, arm, neck, back and shoulder strain occur with improper set up of workstation/computer.
Long hours entering information into computer system on keyboard.
Repetitive tasks
Eye strain occurs with improper task lighting, or settings on computer screens
Fire hazards can occur with electrical power cords, portable heaters, office, and general kitchen common areas.
