Full job description

Job Summary

Join our vibrant early childhood education team as an Early Childhood Assistant! In this dynamic role, you will support classroom teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for young children. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster early learning, social development, and curiosity in children during their formative years. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in early childhood education while making a positive impact on children’s lives.

Responsibilities

Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans that promote early childhood development and learning activities
Support children with their daily routines, including meal times, naps, and bathroom needs
Engage children in age-appropriate activities that encourage social skills, creativity, and exploration
Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment by following health and safety guidelines
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a cohesive educational experience
Support children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or special requirements
Help monitor classroom behavior and provide positive reinforcement to promote good conduct

Requirements

Prior classroom experience or experience working with young children is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development best practices
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
Basic understanding of math concepts suitable for early childhood settings is beneficial
A genuine passion for teaching and supporting young children’s growth and development
