Position Overview
As an Emergency Department Registered Nurse with Augury Healthcare, you will provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients with a wide range of acute and complex health needs.
You will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams while adapting quickly to new clinical environments and supporting safe patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:
- Providing emergency nursing care to patients presenting with acute and urgent medical conditions
- Completing patient assessments, triage, and ongoing monitoring
- Recognizing changes in patient condition and responding appropriately
- Administering medications, treatments, and interventions safely
- Supporting emergency procedures and clinical interventions
- Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Providing patient and family education and support
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Following facility policies, procedures, and infection prevention standards
- Supporting safe, patient-centred emergency care
Qualifications
Successful candidates must have:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) registration in Ontario or eligibility to obtain Ontario registration
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Emergency nursing experience in a hospital setting
- Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced clinical environments
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness and ability to travel to Northern Ontario communities
Preferred qualifications:
- TNCC certification
- CTAS certification
- Rural or remote emergency nursing experience
- Experience working with diverse patient populations
