Diesel Reefer Truck and Trailer is a full service and emergency breakdown shop in the heart of Charlottetown. Here no two days are the same. Between last minute issues and breakdowns, routine maintenance fills the time and keeps us busy.
We offer a variety of flexible schedules to meet your needs. Days, evenings, weekdays, and weekends. We have a schedule that can work for you.
We are looking to add Mechanics and Technicians to our growing team.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and vehicles
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance on diesel equipment
- Repair or replace faulty parts and components
- Test and adjust engine systems to ensure proper functioning
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines
- Red seal is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with industrial equipment such as forklifts
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks
- Experience servicing Reefers and refrigeration units is a bonus
- Welding experience is a plus
Weekend and call work as needed and on a rotational basis.
As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel engines and vehicles. Your expertise in diagnosing mechanical issues, conducting inspections, and performing routine maintenance will ensure the safe and efficient operation of our fleet and customers. In addition to your technical skills, your ability to provide excellent customer service will contribute to our overall success.
