Full job description

ICON Construction is a Saskatchewan-based construction company serving the commercial and industrial sectors. Job Summary

The Project Coordinator supports Project Managers and Superintendents by handling the day-to-day administrative and logistical work that keeps construction projects on schedule and on budget. This is an entry-level role, ideal for someone early in a construction management or project management career who wants hands-on exposure to how projects are run from preconstruction through closeout.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and organize project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, contracts, and daily reports.
Assist Project Managers with scheduling, budget tracking, and procurement of materials and subcontractor services.
Prepare, distribute, and file purchase orders and vendor/subcontractor paperwork.
Coordinate and schedule meetings; take and distribute meeting minutes; track follow-up action items.
Communicate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to relay project updates and resolve routine issues.
Track project progress against schedule and budget, and flag potential delays or overruns to the Project Manager.
Support permit applications, inspection scheduling, and compliance documentation.
Assist with project billing, invoicing, and closeout documentation.
Conduct occasional site visits to support coordination between the office and field teams.

Qualifications

0–2 years of experience in construction, project coordination, or a related administrative role; internships count.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Projects)
Comfortable working both in an office setting and visiting active job sites.
Valid driver's license
