Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional front desk support and ensuring smooth administrative operations within our medical office. This role requires strong communication skills, proficiency with electronic medical records, and familiarity with medical terminology. The Medical Receptionist will play a vital role in maintaining an efficient, welcoming environment for patients and staff alike.

Duties

Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures
Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages
Verify patient information and update electronic medical records using systems such as Accuro
Collect insurance information, process payments.
Maintain organized patient files and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
Coordinate appointment scheduling with providers to optimize clinic flow
Assist with administrative tasks including data entry, faxing, scanning, and correspondence
Support the office team with various clerical duties to ensure efficient daily operations
Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and welcoming

Experience

Prior experience as a Medical Receptionist is highly preferred
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and administrative procedures in healthcare settings
Proven office experience, including handling multi-line phone systems and front desk responsibilities
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with excellent organizational skills is advantageous
Previous medical office experience is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates
