Full job description

The Public Area Attendant is responsible for the cleanliness of the public and guest areas of the hotel, hotel exterior & backoffices. The position that we are currently hiring is for Part time evenings & few day shifts. Candidate must be available to work on weekend evenings.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Attends to all public areas to ensure cleanliness standards have been met; reports any problem areas to supervisor.
Cleans public areas, including lobby, banquet spaces, offices and pool.
Assists room attendant with heavy items such as mattresses and soiled linens. Delivers linens and necessary supplies to room attendants.
Shampoos carpets, strips and waxes floors throughout the hotel.
Cleans designated areas such as lobby, public restrooms, public areas and back of house areas on hotel property.
Collects trash throughout the hotel including room attendants carts, vending and room service areas, offices and rest rooms.
Responds to guest requests such as delivery of housekeeping supplies (e.g. linens, roll-a-ways, etc.) in a timely and efficient manner.
Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
Follows company policies and procedures.
Assist Executive Housekeeper with any additional cleaning chores that may be assigned.

Note: Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Education/ Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role or in a hospitality environment. Proficient in both verbal and written communications. Completion of high school diploma or related vocational training. Must be available to work evenings and weekends.

Skills: Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to converse with guests in a courteous and professional manner. Ability to deal with all levels of management in a professional manner.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

HOURS OF WORK: Must be available day time, evening time, weekends, and holidays . Overtime may be required.
