Our client, a manufacturer of store fixtures located in Collingwood, ON, is currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipper to join their team. With over 25 years of experience producing high-quality store fixture components, our client specializes in innovative retail environments. This role involves safely loading, unloading, moving materials, and supporting inbound/outbound logistics to ensure smooth production flow. This role is a straight dayshift position from Monday to Friday with potential opportunity for overtime - no weekends required. Wage starting at $21.00 per hour.

About The Role
The Shipper is responsible for the safe, efficient loading, unloading, preparation and movement of materials and finished store fixtures within the facility. This role requires strong attention to safety, physical stamina and accuracy under tight deadlines. The Shipper is responsible for inbound and outbound logistics, operates material-handling equipment and helps ensure the smooth flow of production and distribution activities. Other duties may include:
- Loading & Unloading Trucks Safely & Efficiently
- Coordinating Inbound & Outbound Materials to Support Production & Shipping Schedules
- Operating Forklifts & Material Handling Equipment (In House Certification Provided)
- Wrapping, Preparing, & Moving Store Fixtures & Materials Throughout the Facility
- Performing Physically Demanding Tasks, Including Lifting, Carrying, & Maneuvering Large Items
- Maintaining a Clean, Safe, & Organized Work Area
- Following All Safety Procedures & Contributing to a Safe Working Environment
- Communicating Effectively with Production, Shipping, & Logistics Teams
- Performing General Labour Tasks as Needed to Support Shipping & Receiving Operations
- Performing Other Duties as Required
Requirements
- 2+ Years of Warehouse or Shipping/Receiving Experience
- Ability to Read an Imperial Tape Measure
- Strong Problem-Solving Skills & Ability to Work Under Deadlines
- Physically Able to Lift Up to 50 Lbs, Kneel, Crouch & Perform General Labour Tasks
- Reliable, Punctual, & Able to Work Effectively in a Fast-Paced Environment
- Secondary School Education
- English Language Skills
- Ability to Reliably Commute to Collingwood or Relocate Before Starting
- Steel Toe Boots Required (Annual Allowance for Boots & Prescription Safety Glasses After Probationary Period)
