Positions Available: 1st to 3rd Year Sheetmetal Worker Apprentices
Responsibilities May Include:
- Layout, fabricate, and install HVAC duct systems and related components
- Install ductwork, fittings, registers, grilles, diffusers, and HVAC equipment
- Fabricate and install duct hangers and support systems
- Select and work with HVAC materials, fittings, and joining methods
- Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings
- Coordinate work with supervisors, journeypersons, co-workers, and other trades
- Follow SMACNA standards, project specifications, building codes, and company procedures
- Maintain safe work practices and comply with all health and safety requirements
- Contribute to project success through quality workmanship, productivity, and teamwork
- Support and mentor less experienced apprentices when appropriate
Note: Duties and responsibilities will vary based on apprenticeship level, experience, and project requirements.
Qualifications:
- Registered 1st to 3rd Year Sheet Metal Apprentice; entry-level candidates interested in pursuing a Sheet Metal Apprenticeship are also encouraged to apply
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, sheet metal materials, fittings, and installation practices appropriate to apprenticeship level
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications (or willingness to learn)
- Experience with commercial, institutional, and industrial construction projects (preferred)
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Safety conscious with a commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work safely at heights and perform the physical demands of the trade
- Valid G Driver's Licence and reliable transportation

Pay: $18.60-$25.77 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 37.0 per week
