About Us

The Advancement department plays a pivotal role in nurturing enduring relationships which foster meaningful engagement, financial support, advocacy and leadership among alumni and other stakeholders globally. The development team, within the Advancement department, raises philanthropic and sponsorship support for Ivey, generally raising over $15 million annually.

Responsibilities

The Operations Student will play a key role in supporting the information management and data integrity functions of the Ivey Advancement Department. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a data-driven environment and is eager to contribute to the department's operational excellence.

The incumbent will take guidance from their supervisor, and work productively and courteously with ttheir Advancement team and other members of the Ivey community.

Main Responsibilities:

Data Entry & Record Management: Perform accurate and timely data entry, including updating the prospect management system, the alumni database, and central files to ensure information is current and complete.
Alumni Tracing: Identify and trace alumni with outdated or incomplete records in the alumni database, conducting research to locate updated contact information and maintaining accurate alumni profiles.
Information Management Support: Assist with the broader information management function of the Ivey Advancement Department, ensuring data is organized, accessible, and aligned with departmental standards.
Research & Analysis: Support the Research team by collecting, compiling, and analyzing data to inform strategic decision-making and advancement initiatives.
CRM & Data Integrity: Utilize knowledge of Salesforce/Affinaquest platforms to uphold best practices for data integrity, consistency, and quality across all systems.

Qualifications

Education:

Currently enrolled in post secondary and must be a student returning to studies in the fall

Experience:

1 year part time employment or volunteer experience

Skills, Abilities & Expertise:

Written and verbal communication skills to express ideas clearly, and adapt communication style to suit the situation and audience
Ability to maintain a positive, outgoing attitude with genuine customer service orientation
Reliable and dependable with the ability to consistently work assigned schedule
Ability to follow processes and practices with high attention to detail
Demonstrates integrity and works in accordance with Western¿s policies and procedures
Computer skills with Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn and use new software programs as required
Personable and courteous in working relationships with colleagues, students and the public
Ability to work independently and effectively as a member of the team to achieve department goals
Ability to work in a manner that is compliant with confidentiality requirements as applicable
