Full job description

We are a small accounting firm at York Mills and Yonge St. in Toronto that specializes in bookkeeping, accounting, tax preparation and payroll for various types of small businesses and individuals. We currently have full-time positions available.

We off very flexible work hours and days. This job requires on-site office work but some hybrid work-from-home can be transitioned to after probationary period.

Job Overview:

Full cycle bookkeeping for multiple small business clients using Quickbooks Desktop/Online
Daily and weekly A/P and A/R duties for multiple clients
Preparation of reconciliations and government filings (GST/HST, T4's, WSIB)
Payroll processing and preparation of CRA remittances for multiple clients
Data entry into excel and other software programs
Office administrative duties
Assistance with personal income tax preparation
Assistance preparing year-end accounting schedules as well as corporate tax returns and other filings.

Qualifications:

Must have 2+ years bookkeeping experience in QuickBooks Desktop
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal
Enrolment in, or completion of, a post secondary accounting program
2+ years work experience in an accounting environment
Knowledge of Personal income tax preparation a great asset but not required
Organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
Must be able to work under pressure within assigned time limits
Pleasant, friendly personality with the ability to get along with others in a small working environment
