Full job description

Service Call Technician/Carpenter

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Service Call Technician to provide maintenance and repair services for McDonald’s restaurant locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing a variety of repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure restaurants remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.

Responsibilities

Repair and replace floor and wall tile.
Perform caulking and sealing work in kitchens, washrooms, and dining areas.
Install and repair doors, frames, locks, and related hardware.
Complete minor plumbing repairs, including faucets, fixtures, and drains.
Perform interior and exterior painting and touch-up work.
Carry out minor carpentry work, including trim repairs, framing modifications, millwork installation, and general building maintenance.
Assist with occasional site work and small renovation projects as required.
Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner.
Troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine appropriate solutions.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Communicate effectively with restaurant managers and team members.
Complete daily reporting, including photos and written updates through our internal app.

Qualifications

Experience in general maintenance, construction, or building repairs.
Working knowledge of tile installation, caulking, doors, hardware, and basic carpentry.
Basic plumbing and painting skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to lift materials and perform physically demanding work.
Experience working on commercial sites is considered an asset.
