Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Asphalt Roller Operator to join our construction team. This role involves operating heavy-duty asphalt rollers to ensure the proper compaction of asphalt surfaces, contributing to the durability and quality of paving projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction processes, experience with heavy equipment, and a commitment to safety and precision on-site.

Responsibilities

Operate asphalt roller machines to achieve optimal compaction of paved surfaces in accordance with project specifications.
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Collaborate with construction crews to coordinate paving activities and meet project deadlines.
Assist with other related tasks such as site preparation, material handling, and supporting equipment operation as needed.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and team members.

Qualifications

Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment, particularly asphalt rollers.
Mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
Background in construction, paving, or concrete work is highly desirable.
Ability to operate related equipment such as loaders, excavators, and concrete finishing tools is a plus.
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for transporting equipment or materials.
Strong understanding of safety standards and procedures in construction environments.
Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to large-scale infrastructure projects while developing skills in heavy equipment operation within a professional construction environment.

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
