The Branch Care Coordinator at Lakeland Respiratory plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient and compassionate delivery of home healthcare services. This position involves coordinating patient care, managing administrative tasks, and acting as a central point of contact for patients, families, and healthcare professionals within a specific branch.
- Coordinate and schedule patient care services, including equipment delivery, installations, and follow-up visits.
Process and manage patient referrals, ensuring accurate data entry and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to provide information, address concerns, and facilitate a positive care experience.
Collaborate with clinical staff, sales representatives, and other internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical information, equipment usage, and service history.
Manage inventory of medical equipment and supplies at the branch level, ensuring availability and proper maintenance.
Assist with billing and invoicing processes, including verifying insurance coverage and processing payments.
Resolve patient complaints and issues promptly and professionally, escalating complex cases to appropriate management.
Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
High school diploma or equivalent; a college diploma in a related field (e.g., Medical Office Administration, Healthcare Management) is preferred.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a healthcare coordination or administrative role, preferably in a home healthcare setting.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a compassionate and professional demeanor.
Proficiency in using computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and healthcare management systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare industry regulations is an asset.
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle may be required depending on branch needs.
