Job Summary
We are seeking a Marketing Specialist who will support MBSI WAV's efforts through coordination of department’s activities. The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for maintaining a unified branding standard among all platforms, acting as the company's target audience event master and social media, co-op and MDF expert, working closely with our manufacturers to maximize our marketing budget, and maintaining our inventory of promotional items. Further responsibilities include content creation. This position will focus on coordinating and assisting in the planning and execution of all marketing programs to support sales objectives, strengthen brand loyalty, and attract new customers.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates and plans all facets of MBSI WAV events and tradeshows including communications, mailing lists, schedules, promotions, logistics and execution
- Responsible for tradeshow planning by working with sales and operations teams during the planning phase of tradeshows
- Ensures required items are ordered for tradeshows, i.e. lead retrieval, electrical, rentals, advanced warehousing and material handling, etc.
- Works with external agencies and vendors to execute marketing programs
- Supports Executive VP of Marketing by coordinating, scheduling video recordings, panel discussions with outside stakeholders, and authoring seed questions for content
- Works closely with sales, product management and company leadership to build cohesive brand strategies and coordinate marketing efforts across all digital and print channels
- Architects incentive programs for customer retention, social media viewership and gamification rewards
- Authors, executes, analyzes, and reports results of customer satisfaction surveys
- Evaluates competitor marketing efforts and digital content to help identify new marketing opportunities
- Maintains MBSI WAV’s inventory of promotional items (aka: swag and tchotchkes)
- Communicates to product management for timely start date and expirations for promotions in Netsuite
- Responsible for internal communication to sales, sales leadership ensuring the group understands the promotions, rules of engagement and what target audiences they apply to
- Communicates with manufacturers to understand promotions
- Responsible for providing sales lists of customers that have purchased like items that would be ideal for the promotions
- Regularly analyzes database for data cleanliness and targeted marketing efforts
- Maintains marketing campaigns in Netsuite and ensures leads are marked properly for sales
- Ensures timely lead entry into Netsuite, including list import after marketing activities
- Manages database to ensure timely data entry and accurate labeling and works closely with sales to assign leads
- Works closely with sales leadership to assign leads from marketing activities
- Provides ROI reporting on lead disposition for internal and external QBRs
- Responsible for all marketing campaign naming conventions
- Researches and applies for awards with industry affiliates
- Responsible for promoting health and wellness/other tangible benefits/programs available through our external service providers
- Interfaces with trade magazine editors to provide valuable, interesting content/articles for posting
- Co-authors/drafts press releases for MFR partnerships, new warehouse launches, programs, etc.
- Researches and applies for awards on behalf of WAV and MBSI WAV
- Responsible for day-to-day website maintenance and executing timely and accurate content updates
- Creates and updates social media posting schedules and replies to comments, inquiries and complaints in a helpful and timely manner
- Supports presenters during virtual events by verifying attendance, maintaining the chat window and ensuring the event runs smoothly
- Maintains virtual event registration reporting pre- and post-event and communicates with sales and/or technical teams
- Owns all co-op and MDF manufacturer initiatives by becoming an expert on guidelines, submitting pre-approvals, proof of performance, and all other necessary documentation, including maintaining MDF receivable

Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year University or equivalent experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. First language preferred is English with an additional preference for fluency in French.
Math Ability
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety or concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
General usage of daily technology and personal computers. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience working with CRM/ERP systems preferred (e.g. NetSuite)

Pay: $55,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
