Full job description

Meat cutter prepares and packages meat and poultry for retail sale

Job description:

- Cut, weigh, package, label and price meat

- Grind, cut, tenderize, vacuum seal using powered grinders, meat saws and other equipment

- customer service including suggesting complimentary and or alternative meats and products

- Receiving and storing merchandise according to store and health guidelines

- Able to lift repeatedly to manage stock in coolers and warehouses.

- Must be able to work weekends.

- Experience needed (preferably 5 years at least)

Summary

As a Meat Cutter, you will be essential in ensuring the quality and presentation of meat products for our customers. Reporting to the Meat Department Manager, your core skills in butchery, food preparation, and food safety will be critical in executing precise cutting techniques and maintaining high standards of food handling. Your knowledge of the food industry will enhance our offerings, while your relevant skills in packaging and customer service will help create a positive shopping experience. Join our team to contribute to our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
