JOB DESCRIPTION
The Help Desk Analyst is a central figure in our IT department, dedicated to ensuring efficient, timely frontline support for the campus community. This role combines technical problem-solving and customer service for our School community.
Employment Type: Full-time, permanent. Office-based position located on campus at 1975 Renfrew Road, Shawnigan Lake
Position Start Date: Ideal start date of June 2026, though a later start may be considered.
Compensation: Annual salary range of $50,000 - $67,275. Starting salary is determined based on the successful candidate’s knowledge, experience, and internal parity.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the IT Manager, the Help Desk Analyst is responsible for:
· Respond and track support requests for technical assistance in person, via phone and electronically
· Identify and escalate situations to senior IT staff where appropriate
· Provides routine technical support to end users on-site and remotely of computer applications and hardware (e.g., PCs, servers, printers)
· Investigates and resolves user issues
· Troubleshoots basic software, hardware, and network issues
· Providing technical support to end users, including setup, installation, troubleshooting and supporting workstations, printers, mobile devices and applications
· Strong fundamental troubleshooting skills and the ability to apply those skills to assist troubleshooting on a wide range of information systems and applications
· Assists on project implementations and system upgrades as needed
· Performs other duties as needed or required
REQUIREMENTS
Education, Experience & Skills
· Degree or Diploma in a technical-related program (IT preferred)
· One (1) to three (3) years of experience in a technical support role
· Strong knowledge of Google ChromeOS, Google Workspaces, Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and PC hardware . Excellent knowledge of networking, servers, and web application principles
· Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification is considered beneficial
· Advanced PC hardware, peripherals & software troubleshooting skills
· Demonstrable experience in IT infrastructure required
· Knowledge and exposure in supporting mobile devices
· Knowledge of common network terminologies/topologies
· Effective written and oral communication and customer service skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
· High degree of resourcefulness and flexibility, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
